We love *any* good reason for a bath and some self indulgence, but did you know, when you use one of our ritual bath oils, there is more than just a bit of "me" time that you can benefit from?
Our bath oils are made from a perfect blend of skin loving plant-based oils which can help moisturize and hydrate the skin, are fragranced with a blend of delicious scents AND disperse in water, giving water a milky effect, rather than the typical oil slick experience!
So, what's in an oil anyway?
The oils we use have been selected for their ability to help lock in moisture as well as leave skin feeling soft and silky and not blocked and greasy! As well as being plant-based! Yass!
🥜Sweet Almond Oil - moisturises and nourish skin. Sweet Almond oil is considered non-comedogenic, meaning it won't clog your pores, bonus when caring for your skin. It is also rich in Vitamin E, healthy fats, and antioxidants, making it a great addition to any skincare routine.
🥑Avocado Oil - rich in vitamins and antioxidants that can benefit the skin. It is said to assist with moisturising and nourishing the skin, has been found to reduce inflammation, and improve skin elasticity.
🍑Apricot Kernel Oil - is a great oil for those with sensitive or irritated skin. Full of antioxidants and moisturising nutrients.
🥜Macadamia Oil - lightweight and non-greasy, Macadamia oil is easily absorbed by the skin. It is rich in fatty acids, antioxidants, and vitamins, which makes it an excellent choice for nourishing and hydrating the skin.
💊Vitamin E - an antioxidant that can help protect your cells from damage caused by harmful molecules known as free radicals. It may also support immune function, skin health, and eye health. Some studies suggest that Vitamin E Tocopherol may have anti-inflammatory properties and could help reduce the risk of certain chronic diseases. 🪄
Milky without the Milk?
Our bath oils also give your bath a light milky effect. The milkiness comes from the addition on Polysorbate 80 - an additive commonly used in skincare, cosmetics and even food. Its used as an emulsifier & solubiliser which helps oils and water mix. Bonus for our purposes!
We use this to ensure your bath oil, fragrance and all, mix into the water rather than leaving a messy and sometimes even dangerous oil slick on top of the bath water.
It also help the oil evenly distribute itself on your skin - allowing you to lightly massage the deposited oil into your skin after you have got out, locking in all that wonderful H₂O you've just soaked into your body.
Bonus, all that delicate fragrance will also be lightly deposited on your skin, leaving you smelling amazing!
So, in summary...
Baths in general have the obvious benefits of helping to assist in the reduction of inflammation, relieve muscle tension and soreness, and promote relaxation and stress relief.
